Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences

This master’s programme is aimed at students with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, life sciences, chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences. Its primary focus is on the interplay between biological systems and materials. Students work on developing innovative medical devices and biocompatible materials such as stent coating, cartilage replacement and artificial heart valves.

Taught predominantly in English, this master’s programme is strongly geared towards research. A core part of the course is a research project lasting several months which students can choose to carry out in Germany or abroad. When setting up their project, students benefit from our close collaborative relationships with our research partners and industry companies.
